Präsident Alexander Lukaschenko und Generaldirektor der russischen Atomenergiebehörde Rosatom, Sergej Kirijenko, haben bei einem Treffen in Minsk den Bau des belarussischen Atomkraftwerks besprochen.
Alexander Lukaschenko hat zu Beginn des Gesprächs vorgeschlagen, die aktuelle Situation um den AKW-Bau zu diskutieren. „Ich gehe davon aus, dass Belarus bei Russland rund 10 Milliarden USD geliehen hat. Wir haben den Bauauftragnehmer gefunden, der dieses Kraftwerk bauen wird. Aber aus irgendwelchen Gründen, vielleicht wegen Deutungsverschiedenheit in Bezug auf normativ-rechtliche Akte, oder wegen Unstimmigkeiten kommt es zu Fragen, die unbedingt geklärt werden sollen“, sagte Alexander Lukaschenko.
Sergej Kirijenko dankte seinerseits dem belarussischen Staatschef für das Vertrauen, das Belarus Russland entgegenbringt. „Wir wissen um unsere Verantwortung. Wir sollen das sicherste Atomkraftwerk bauen. Es soll preiswert sein und allen Umweltschutz- sowie Qualitätsforderungen entsprechen. Außerdem soll es in kurzer Frist und mit einer maximalen Auslastung belarussischer Baubetriebe errichtet werden“, so der Rosatom-Chef.

„Die modernen Generationen „3+“ stellte man für das AKW heraus. Postfukuschima-Anforderungen. Mit so einem Block hätte es den Ausfall in Fukuschima nicht gegeben, solche Folgen nicht gegeben. Der Block hätte aufgehört zu arbeiten. Diese neue Technologie wurde von vielen Unternehmen aufgenommen, aber nur auf dem Papier. Zum Bau sind noch nicht viele gekommen, d.h. zur Erfahrung schon gebauter AKWs.“
