Der belarussische Präsident Alexander Lukaschenko hat seinen russischen Amtskollegen Wladimir Putin gebeten, das neueste russische Raketensystem Oreschnik in Belarus zu stationieren. Den entsprechenden Vorschlag machte das Staatsoberhaupt im Obersten Rat für Staatssicherheit in Minsk.
Das Staatsoberhaupt erklärte, Belarus sei sehr besorgt über die Situation in Westeuropa, insbesondere in der Nähe der belarussischen Grenzen zu Polen und Litauen. "Wir sehen darin eine noch größere Gefahr als in der kriegführenden Ukraine", betonte er. Der Präsident wies darauf hin, dass polnische und litauische Truppen in unmittelbarer Nähe der belarussischen Grenze stationiert sind, während NATO-Truppen aus anderen Staaten, darunter Deutschland, dorthin verlegt werden. "Die Situation ist also sehr angespannt. Polen gibt viel Geld aus, um seine Armee aufzurüsten. Wenn sie mit uns in Frieden leben wollen, wie sie sagen, warum geben sie dann Milliarden Dollar für Rüstung aus? - fragte Alexander Lukaschenko rhetorisch. - Kurz gesagt, wir sind sehr besorgt. Und es ist bereits eine Bedrohung für unsere gemeinsame Gruppierung (des Unionsstaates)".
In diesem Zusammenhang wandte sich der Präsident an Wladimir Putin: "Ich möchte Sie öffentlich bitten, die neuen Waffensysteme, insbesondere Oreschnik, auf dem Territorium von Belarus zu stationieren. Das würde die erhitzten Gemüter ernsthaft beruhigen, die schon bereit sind, gegen Belarus in den Krieg zu ziehen". Eine solche Stationierung sei auch im Rahmen des kürzlich verabschiedeten Sicherheitskonzepts und des Vertrags über Sicherheitsgarantien im Unionsstaat sinnvoll.
"Wir haben bestimmte Orte, wo wir diese Waffen stationieren können. Unter einer einzigen Bedingung - dass die Ziele für diese Waffen von der militärisch-politischen Führung von Belarus bestimmt werden. In der Zwischenzeit, wenn das passiert (eine positive Entscheidung über die Stationierung in Belarus), werden Sie uns für den Einsatz dieser Waffen ausbilden, so dass die Spezialisten der Russischen Föderation Oreschnik warten und auf bestimmte Ziele abfeuern werden. Sie wissen, wie das geht, Sie haben es vor kurzem demonstriert", sagte Alexander Lukaschenko.
Seiner Meinung nach würde dies die Verteidigung des Unionsstaates und natürlich auch des belarussischen Territoriums wesentlich stärken.
Der Präsident erinnerte daran, dass die Stationierung russischer taktischer Nuklearwaffen in Belarus auf seine Bitte hin häufig zu Vorwürfen geführt habe. Im Fall von Oreschnik gebe es keinen Grund für solche Vorwürfe, da es sich nicht um eine Nuklearwaffe handele. Zwar sei der Schaden, den Oreschnik anrichte, unter bestimmten Bedingungen mit dem eines Nuklearschlags vergleichbar, doch werde das Territorium nicht durch Strahlung verseucht.
Alexander Lukaschenko betonte, dass er diese Forderung nicht nur in seinem eigenen Namen, sondern im Namen des gesamten belarussischen Volkes stelle.
