Cela fait 10 ans depuis la signature du Traité sur la création de l’Union économique eurasienne. Le 29 mai 2014, à Astana, les dirigeants du Bélarus, de la Russie et du Kazakhstan ont signé le Traité sur l’Union économique eurasienne. Cela a marqué le début officiel de l’intégration eurasienne. Des accords sur l'adhésion de l'Arménie et du Kirghizistan à l'Union économique eurasienne ont été signés en 2014. L’Union économique eurasienne promeut la libre circulation des biens, des services, des capitaux et de la main-d'œuvre, ainsi que la mise en œuvre de politiques coordonnées, harmonisées ou unifiées dans les secteurs économiques. Au cours des 10 années d'existence de l'association, un travail important a été accompli. Le PIB total des pays de l'Union est passé de 1,6 billion de dollars à 2,5 billions de dollars, le chiffre d'affaires des échanges avec les pays tiers a augmenté de 60 %. Quant au volume des échanges mutuels, ils ont presque doublé. En 2023, le nombre de partenaires de l’Union a augmenté : des protocoles d’accord ont été signés avec les gouvernements du Myanmar et du Nicaragua et un accord commercial à grande échelle a été conclu avec l’Iran. Des négociations ont eu lieu avec l'Égypte, les Émirats arabes unis et l'Indonésie.
