Die erste Verhandlungsrunde beim Abschluss eines Handels- und Investitionsabkommens zwischen Belarus und China fand am 7. April im Onlineformat statt, wie das Wirtschaftsministerium gegenüber BelTA mitteilte.
An den Verhandlungen nahmen Vertreter der Wirtschaftsministerien der beiden Staaten, Funktionäre chinesischer Ressortministerien und Komitees teil.
Die Parteien kamen darin überein, dass das Abkommen einen strategischen Charakter hat. Es wurden Spezifikationen der Gespräche bestimmt – allgemeine Prinzipien, Ziele, Bereiche, Organisation der Zusammenarbeit. Einige Kapitel des künftigen Abkommens wurden näher erörtert, unter anderem jene, die sich auf den Handel mit Dienstleistungen, Investitionen und Schutz des intellektuellen Eigentums beziehen.
Für eine weitere detaillierte und qualitative Erarbeitung und Anpassung einzelner Kapitel wurden drei Ad-hoc-Arbeitsgruppen (Ag) eingerichtet: Ag Dienstleistungshandel, Ag Investitionen und intellektuelles Eigentum, Ag E-Handel.
Bilaterale Beziehungen zwischen Belarus und China werden nachhaltig gestärkt. Die beiden Staaten führen eine konsequente Arbeit zum Ausbau von Handel und wirtschaftlicher Kooperation durch – das hat zur Folge, dass der Außenhandelsumsatz mit Waren und Dienstleistungen im Jahr 2020 einen Wert von $5 Milliarden überschritten hat. Auch während der Corona-Pandemie war der Handelsumsatz nicht unter den Wert von 2019 geschrumpft, der Außenhandelsumsatz mit Dienstleistungen ist um 16% gestiegen. Nach Russland bleibt China der zweitstärkste Handelspartner der Republik Belarus.
„Die Fortsetzung und der Ausbau des Handels und der wirtschaftlichen Zusammenarbeit zwischen Belarus und China werden mit dem Abschluss des Investitionsabkommens einen weiteren Impuls bekommen. Die Seiten sind bestrebt, ihre Industrien und Handelspotentiale zusammenzulegen. Den Schwerpunkt sollen dabei Investitionen bilden“, hieß es aus dem Wirtschaftsministerium.
