白俄罗斯完成了与欧盟签署便利签证制度以及重新接纳协议的所有国内程序。国家元首决定与欧洲联盟签署关于便利办理签证程序以及重新接纳的协议。在这个步骤前，双方通过了相当复杂而长期谈判， 其结果是白俄罗斯同欧盟制定了相互可接受的决议，其尽一切考虑到各方利益。
该决议于近日，在欧盟官方杂志上被颁布，相关决定于10 月14日被批准。 在此前，欧洲联盟驻白俄罗斯大使迪尔克•舒贝利接受采访期间强调：“欧盟理事会已批准签署关于便利签证制度的协议，而且，预计，在欧盟完成所需的程序之后，本机构将批准签署关于重新接纳的协议。在签署两份协议之后，欧洲议会应该同意缔结这些协议，随后欧盟理事会应该决定缔结协议。
两份协议将同时生效——各方相互通知他们完成批准程序日期之后第二个月第一日。在关于便利签证制度协议生效之后，签证费为所有白俄罗斯公民将自动地降低至３５欧元。根据旅行的目的，许多类别的公民将能够无需支付费用即可申请签证，并且可以以简化的方式获得较长时间的多次签证。”
与此同时，两份协议生效日期尚未知。
