6月20日，2018“一带一路”记者组织论坛在京举行。论坛主题为“构建‘一带一路’新闻合作交流新格局”，共有47个国家和地区的近百名记者组织负责人和媒体代表与会，包括24位地区性和全国性记者组织的主席和副主席。
这是中国首次举办的国别最多、级别最高的记者组织负责人国际性会议。中宣部副部长、国务院新闻办公室主任蒋建国出席并致辞。中国记协主席张研农、俄罗斯记联主席弗拉基米尔·索罗夫耶夫、东盟记联主席德差勇、非洲记联主席阿卜杜瓦西德·奥都西勒分别致辞，泰国记协副主席、保加利亚记协主席、苏丹记协主席、墨西哥头版俱乐部主席做了演讲。中国记协常务副主席胡孝汉主持论坛开幕式。
论坛通过了《“一带一路”记者组织合作共识》，认为“一带一路”倡议的提出，赋予了古丝绸之路新内涵，为各国交流合作提供了新平台、注入了新动力；加强“一带一路”沿线及延伸国家记者组织间的交流合作，将促进各国新闻媒体、编辑记者间的沟通互鉴，促进各国人民间的友好往来，共享发展新机遇。
论坛商定，推动建立和完善“一带一路”记者组织合作机制，进一步深化务实合作，在中国记协设立“一带一路”记者组织论坛秘书处，开始筹建“一带一路”记者组织联盟。
在本届论坛上，中国记协与20多个国家和地区的记者组织签署“一带一路”新闻合作交流协议。中宣部副部长、国务院新闻办公室主任蒋建国和东盟记联主席、拉美记联秘书长共同见证了中国记协与非洲记联、俄罗斯记联、保加利亚记协、塞浦路斯记协、孟加拉记联、阿根廷布宜诺斯艾利斯记协签署合作交流协议。

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
