弗拉基米尔·马克伊表示：“我不排除在2018年可能通过促进签证制度自由化的决定。”
对此，他表示，国家不会急于采取行动。他续称：“我们将在仔细与我们的邻国、专家进行商讨后，采取权衡后、修正好的决定。”
弗拉基米尔·马克伊表示，白俄罗斯之前采取的签证制度自由化政策令国家旅游服务出口有显著增加。比如，仅明斯克旅游就增长了35%。他还表示：“在当时，国家领导人赞赏签证制度自由化举措。我们将采取决定继续朝着该方向谨慎前进，为外国公民来白俄罗斯创造更便捷条件。”
