白俄罗斯总统亚历山大·卢卡申科1月11日在签证制度自由化会议上表示，简化外国人入境白俄罗斯的工作必须继续。 总统指出，近年来，白俄罗斯旅游业取得了重大进展。旅游业成为发展最快的行业之一。 总统相信，今天每个人都可以在我们国家根据自己的爱好选择休假方式，并得到优质的服务。对白俄罗斯的兴趣在不断增长，对此，我们已经采取了一系列简化入境的标准法令，但我们必须继续朝着这个方向努力。 亚历山大·卢卡申科强调，无论是对其他任何国家，还是对白俄罗斯来说，签证制度自由化问题是非常迫切的。国际旅游业在世界各地迅速发展，由于很多原因，我们不可以置身该进程之外。只有制定出最合适的外国公民入境白俄罗斯的政策，我们才可能在这个领域成功地竞争。 总统指出，与此同时，我们不该忘记安全。正是由于欧盟当前移民政策对难民迁移缺少实际管制，已经开始结出苦果。这首先是地区恐怖威胁的增加。因此，在做各种决定的时候，我们要牢记对白俄罗斯公民及停留白俄罗斯的外国公民的安全性。最重要的是，任何旅游业收入都无法代替安全。 政府准备了白俄罗斯签证制度自由化提案。这其中包括增加通过明斯克国家机场免签入境的外国公民的停留时间，及他们免登记停留白俄罗斯的时间。此外计划在举行2019年第二届欧运会期间采取额外的简化入境白俄罗斯的措施。今后将考虑为以非移民目的、通过任意国际检查站的一系列国家的公民实行免签入境白俄罗斯停留一定期限的可能性。 此前，卢卡申科签署了为访问八月运河、格罗德诺和格罗德诺州、布列斯特旅游休闲区（别洛韦日森林、布列斯特、布列斯特州布列斯特区、扎宾科夫区、卡梅涅茨区和普鲁然区及格罗德诺州斯维斯洛奇区）的游客提供10日免签入境的命令。 同时通过了法令，为卡塔尔及阿联酋公民提供30日免签、为通过明斯克国家机场入境白俄罗斯的80国公民提供5日免签。 “巨石”中白工业园的投资者和由工业园管委会制定的名单中人员可以180日免签入境。此外，《关于发展数字经济》的第8号命令规定为白俄罗斯高新技术园入园企业创办者及其雇佣的外国公民提供免签入境政。
