Belarus kann zur Selbsthilfe greifen und ist auf die Unterstützung des Internationalen Währungsfonds (IWF) nicht angewiesen. Das sagte der belarussische Präsident Alexander Lukaschenko in einem Interview mit den Journalisten. "Wir können alles selbst tun. Der IWF hat uns bereits einen Kleinkredit bereitgestellt, den wir momentan bedienen. Und wir sind dafür dankbar. Wir rechnen jedoch nur mit unseren eigenen Kräften“, sagte der Präsident. "Jeder weiß, was der Begriff „Hilfe“ bedeutet. Niemand wird einen Kredit zu einem Zinssatz von 2-3% vergeben. Wir haben alles früher ohne den IWF selbst erreicht und werden es auch weiter ruhig und erfolgreich machen“, sagte Alexander Lukaschenko
"Man will unser Land verteilen und besteht auf einem schnellstmöglichen Verkauf unserer Unternehmen. Der IWF wird dabei die Interessen der westlichen Länder und Amerikas vertreten. Das begreifen wir auch. Dabei ist es normal. Aber nicht für uns. Wir verteidigen vor allem die Interessen der belarussischen Bürger und gehen immer davon aus. Und ich werde auch weiter an diesen Kurs anliegen", unterstrich der Staatschef. "Ich bin der Präsident von Belarus, aber kein IWF-Chef oder Gehilfe der Vereinigten Staaten oder Europäischen Union, und werde auch weiterhin verantwortungsvoll meine Aufgabe erfüllen“, fügte das Staatsoberhaupt hinzu.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
