Belarus and the USA are preparing further steps in their ongoing negotiations, Belarus’ Permanent Representative to the UN Valentin Rybakov said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“The process continues. We maintain constant contact with representatives of the U.S. Department of State, the Trump Administration, and the U.S. National Security Council. Consultations and negotiations are ongoing, with both parties preparing their next steps. The developments are very productive, though the pace may not be as fast as desired due to the turbulent global situation and the busy schedules of those involved. However, I can assure you that progress is being made,” Valentin Rybakov said.
As BelTA previously reported, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko met with President Trump's special envoy Keith Kellogg in Minsk in June.
