Belarusian artisans present traditional folk crafts at the Jagiellonian Fair held in Lublin, Poland, the organizers told BelTA. Over 50 artisans from different regions of Belarus were invited by the organizers, Warsztaty Kultury from Lublin. Among them is a group of artisans from the Brest region. Ivan Suprunchik from the Stolin region brought about 30 of his wooden sculptural compositions and paintings dedicated to the rites and customs of the Polesye region, legends and traditions of his native land. The sculptor plans to give several workshops for visitors of the fair. Ivan Suprunchik created his own school of wood carving. Uniquely, he carves his sculptures exclusively with an ax. He has been participating in the Jagiellonian Fair for several years. Many of his works are held in private collections abroad. Among Gantsevichi district delegates to the Jagiellonian Fair are weavers Elena Telushko and renowned artisan Ulyana Vinnik. They will present exclusive woven suits, towels, panels, bags and other products decorated with Belarusian national ornaments. In addition, the works of Olga Ivanovich, the master of art painting on fabric, wood and clay, will be demonstrated. In total, more than 200 original works were selected.

The Jagiellonian Fair in Lublin is one of the largest festivals of traditional culture in Central Europe.
