Serbia and Belarus have enabled all the necessary conditions for Serbian and Belarusian tourists to visit each other’s country. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Serbia to Belarus Veljko Kovacevic made the relevant statement during a presentation of Serbia’s tourism potential in Minsk.

The diplomat noted that the flow of tourists in both directions is on the rise. These contacts are expected to expand in the future. The diplomat spoke in positive terms about the dynamics of Belarus-Serbia cooperation as a whole, particularly about trade and economic cooperation.

In his words, there is some potential for stepping up contacts across the board. For now Belarus-Serbia trade stands at $150-200 million. The ambassador believes it is possible to increase the figure up to $300 million within the next few years.

Advantages of going on vacation to Serbia were mentioned during the presentation. Although Serbia is a landlocked country, yet it has a lot to offer as far as medieval places of interest are concerned. Mountain tourism and mountain skiing are well-developed in Serbia.
