The 5th international congress Library as a Phenomenon of Culture will take place at the National Library in Minsk on 18-19 October

The 5th international congress Library as a Phenomenon of Culture will take place at the National Library in Minsk on 18-19 October.

Attending the congress will be leading library experts, representatives of research organizations, educational institutions, developers and manufacturers of software, hardware and information products from Azerbaijan, Belarus, Poland, Russia, the United States and Ukraine.

The main theme of the forum is Comfortable Environment of Libraries: New Technological and Material-Technical Solutions. The program of the congress will include presentations, master classes and panel discussions. The winners of the 25th national contest Library is the Heart of National Culture will be awarded on the opening day of the forum, 18 October. On 19 October everyone will be able to attend a lecture by American librarian Charles Forrest.
The exhibition Libraries of the Future: Technologies, Buildings, Equipment will be open during the forum.
