The opening concert of the International Festival of Arts Slavianski Bazaar in Vitebsk will be dedicated to the Year of Native Land, BelTA quotes deputy director of the Vitebsk culture center Marina Romanovskaya. This theme has inspired a program called “Home where you are always welcome”. In addition, this year the amphitheater marks 30 years. “Thus we draw a parallel between the native land and the amphitheater as a creative home for a large number of artists. For many of them Slavianski Bazaar opened the door to the world of arts,” marina Romanovskaya said.
The opening concert promises to be an unusually rich and interesting. It will feature ‘newcomers’ and ‘old-timers’ of the festival. Among the artists are singers from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and other countries. The performance by five orchestras will be the biggest draw and will feature the State Orchestra under the baton of Mikhail Finberg, the orchestra of Emir Kusturica and Goran Bregovic, orchestra of People's Artist of Russia Oleg Menshikov, Vivaldi-Orchestra under the baton of Svetlana Bezrodnoya.
The closing concert “Three minutes of music summer” will also be built around the Year of Native Land theme.
