Hundreds of experts and officials from more than 40 countries have taken part in the forum "Eastern Europe: in search of security for all." The conference was attended by President of Belarus as well Minsk provides a qualitatively new platform for regional and international security discussions. The event is to initiate an annual large-scale open dialogue among leading experts from Eastern Europe, European Union, Russia, the US and China.

The transformation of the Minsk Dialogue forum into a large-scale negotiation process would be an excellent option. Such an opinion was expressed by OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger. He said dialogue is the key to security, and the event in Minsk is one striking example. Thomas Greminger thanked Belarus for such a platform. Thomas Gremingera also met with Foreign Minister of Belarus Vladimir Makei. They discussed the security situation in the European region, the bilateral cooperation between Belarus and the OSCE and implementation of joint projects, as well as the process of peaceful settlement of the conflict in Ukraine. Particular attention was paid to the initiative of the President of Belarus to give a new impetus to the process of restoring mutual confidence and reduce tensions in Europe.
