The agreement was reached during the fourth meeting of the Belarusian-South African committee on trade and economic cooperation held in Pretoria, South Africa, reporters learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Andrei Dapkiunas. The South African delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Trade and Industry Bulelani Magwanishe.
The representatives of the trade, agriculture, education, internal and foreign affairs ministries of the two countries considered a wide range of issues of bilateral cooperation. The focus was on strengthening mutual trade and implementing joint economic projects.
The parties agreed to consider the establishment of joint ventures in South Africa to produce tractors, cargo and passenger equipment, and process agricultural products. The South African side showed a high interest in the possibilities of training African youth in Belarus. The parties agreed on the need to simplify the visa regime between the two countries.
