Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei took part in the international conference “Laying the foundation in the UNECE region for economic.

 
        Integration and sustainable development towards 2030”. Representatives of virtually all 56 member states of the commission, international organizations, the business and expert community, politicians and scientists have gathered together in Minsk.

      “The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development was approved by world leaders last year,” the minister reminded. “All participants of the momentous UN summit in September 2015 declared their resolution to achieve Sustainable Development Goals which are the pillars of the large-scale and comprehensive program promoting prosperity, peace, and partnership.

      “In his remarks at the UN summit Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko suggested fulfilling the “integration of integrations” idea as a key principle of cooperation focused on the all-round interaction of the economies of various countries, coordinated counteraction of global threats and challenges, joint search for the optimal ways of uniting growth and sustainable development. Creating a harmonious community of economies without barriers and dividing lines from Lisbon to Vladivostok is one of Belarus’ foreign policy priorities.”
