The Finnish-Belarusian Economic Forum will be held in Gomel on 13-14 September, BelTA reports. This is the first time Gomel will host a forum that will be held for the fifth time. Now active preparations are underway with the assistance of the Embassy of the Republic of Finland. The forum will be attended by representatives of a number of Finnish companies, the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of the two countries, local authorities. The program includes a plenary meeting and bilateral negotiations to discuss the cooperation in various areas, including energy, processing of municipal and industrial wastes, agricultural engineering, IT technologies, assimilation of advanced technologies and equipment in food industry.
Domestic business is interested in cooperation with Finland in forestry, woodworking, and timber processing waste.
