Belarusian women’s national handball team successfully started in the World Championship 2013 qualifying round.

       On the 3rd of October in a home match of the 3rd qualifying group in Mogilev our team crushed team Lithuania with the score 42:22.
In the other match of group 3 team Italy will host team Poland. Our team will play the next qualifier on the 7th of October versus their main rivals in Poland.
       The winners of the 4 qualifying groups will promote to the play-offs of the World Championship. There they will play against 12 participants of the forthcoming Women’s European Handball Championship, which will take place in December 2012.
       Team Serbia as the hosts of the tournament and team Norway as the world champions are already in the final stage of the Women’s World Championship 2013. Two best teams of the Eurohandball-2012 will also promote to the world championship directly.
       Let’s note that earlier Belarusian women’s handball team took part in the final stages of the world championships in 1997 and in 1999. First our team occupied 16th place and two years later our girls were 14th among 24 participants of the world forum.
