Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko will meet with Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin on 23 December, BelTA has learned.
Sergei Sobyanin arrived in Belarus on a working visit on 23 December. He is scheduled to meet with Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko and Minsk Mayor Vladimir Kukharev. The Russian delegation’s program also includes a visit to Minsk Tractor Works, where they will see an exposition of Belarusian products.
The previous time Sergei Sobyanin visited Belarus was in 2016. Then he took part in the Days of Moscow in Minsk and the third Forum of Regions of Belarus and Russia.
Moscow is one of Belarus's main partners among Russian regions. Last year, the bilateral trade exceeded $6 billion. This year, this mark was reached by October.
