Egypt to open embassy in Minsk

 

     Egypt has plans to open an embassy in Minsk. Belarus President Aleksandr Lukashenko welcomed this decision as he spoke to reporters following his talks with Egyptian leader Abdel Fattah el-Sisi. In his words, Belarus and Egypt hold the same views on the main issues of the international agenda. The head of state underlined that Belarus condemns any manifestations of terrorism and absolutely supports Egypt’s efforts to stand against this threat. Aleksandr Lukashenko is convinced that the two countries will be able to take bilateral cooperation to a brand-new level.The talks between Aleksandr Lukashenko and his Egyptian counterpart focused mostly on trade and economic cooperation. Belarus President also met with Ali Abdel Aal Sayyed Ahmed, Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Egyptian parliament.
