The launch of the national children’s technopark in Belarus is scheduled for January 2021, Sergei Sachko, the director at the Republican Center for Technology Transfer, said during a recent online conference hosted by BelTA. The main goal of the project is to implement new educational programs and additional educational programs for gifted children and youth to discover and develop students' abilities for research, invention and innovation. These will be both fulltime and distance learning programs. "The national children’s technopark will operate year-round, with main programs and activities running from September to June inclusively and recuperation + education programs in July and August," Sergei Sachko said.

Plans are in place to set up 15 innovative laboratories in the national children’s technopark in robotics, aerospace, green chemistry, engineering ecology and biology.  “Apart from high school students, the technopark will also welcome younger school students. We are planning to arrange weekend tours for groups of students to get familiar with the technopark and its laboratories. We also intend to create interactive platforms to inform young people about the professions that are currently popular in the world or the professions of the future. I am sure that this institution will be in demand," he added.
