The Development Bank of Belarus will support the Belarusian exports to Africa

The Development Bank of Belarus will open a credit line for $70 million to finance Belarusian exports to the African region. A corresponding agreement was signed by the Development Bank of Belarus and the Trade and Development Bank of COMESA during a visit of the Belarusian delegation to Nairobi on 15 May, BelTA quotes the bank’s website. Chairman of the Board of the Development Bank Sergei Rumas pointed ot that with the support of the partners from TDB the Bank will offer favorable terms to African companies that show interest in buying goods and services from Belarus. «This will no doubt raise the interest in cooperation with Belarus. We need to maintain and strengthen this interest in order to keep our footing in the market,” he added. Trade and Development Bank of COMESA is a trade and development financial institution founded in 1985 by 19 African member states of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa.
