The first Eurasian Week Forum & Expo, which is designed to be held annually by the Eurasian Economic Union (EEU) member states, kicks off at the TechnoPark of Russia’s Skolkovo Innovation Center, we learned from the press service of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).
“The prime ministers of the EEU member states made the decision to hold the forum every year in 2015. The event is designed to serve as a platform for businessmen, experts and government officials of the EEU member states and third countries to discuss relevant aspects of economic cooperation in the face of new global challenges and jointly develop strategic solutions,” the press service said.
The forum will run for three days. This year’s edition of the event is focused on the EEU in the global innovation agenda. The business program includes events to discuss matters related to the development of Eurasian technological platforms, strategies for further formation of single markets in the EEU, ways to strengthen manufacturing cooperation among the companies of the union and boost high-tech exports. The forum will also consider the potential and real prospects of the EEU as a player in the global high-technology market.
