Aliyev: Belarus is one of Azerbaijan’s closest partners

        Azerbaijan views Belarus as one of the closest partners in the CIS and in the world, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev said when receiving the credentials of Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus Gennady Akhramovich, the press service of the Foreign Ministry of Belarus reports. During the meeting, the leader of Azerbaijan noted the high level of relations and mutual understanding between the two countries in all areas of cooperation, calling Belarus one of Azerbaijan’s closest partners in the CIS and in the world, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said. The head of the Belarusian diplomatic mission stressed the importance of developing all-round cooperation, focusing on expanding trade and cooperation relations. "In this context he informed of his intention to promote specific samples of promising science-intense and high-tech products," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.
      The parties also agreed on specific mechanisms for the implementation of the plans.
