Belarus invited to open trade promotion office in Russia’s Orenburg Oblast

         It would be a good idea to open a Belarusian trade promotion office in Russia’s Orenburg Oblast. Orenburg Oblast Governor Yuri Berg made the relevant statement as he met with Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Anatoly Kalinin, BelTA quotes representatives of the Embassy of Belarus in Russia. Yuri Berg noted that it is necessary to greatly increase the product range and volumes of trade between Belarus and Orenburg Oblast. Major enterprises of the Russian region are interested in stepping up trade contacts with Belarusian partners.
         The number includes the mechanical engineering group YUMZ, a synthetic alcohol factory, Orsk Construction Ironwork Plant, a drilling equipment factory and many other enterprises. The Governor suggested considering the establishment of a Belarusian trade promotion office in the Russian region for the sake of coordinating the work. The proposals voiced during the meeting are now part of the action plan, which is designed to guide the advancement of cooperation between the governments of Belarus and Russia’s Orenburg Oblast in 2015-2017.
