Belarus, Myanmar sign memorandum of cooperation

       The Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus and the House of Nationalities of the Assembly of the Union of Myanmar have signed a memorandum of cooperation.
The document was inked by Speaker of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich and Speaker of the House of Nationalities of the Assembly of the Union of Myanmar Khin Aung Myint.
     According to Mikhail Myasnikovich, the visit of Myanmar’s parliamentary delegation to Minsk was fruitful. “We have discussed many issues, agreed on the implementation of new projects. Special attention was focused on cooperation in agriculture and, in particular, in the sales of farm equipment and tractors, possible creation of agricultural cooperatives in Myanmar with Belarus’ participation,” he said.
During the official visit to Minsk the head of the Myanmar delegation met with Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko, Prime Minister Andrei Kobyakov, Speaker of the Council of the Republic Mikhail Myasnikovich and Speaker of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko. The guests also paid a visit to a number of companies, socially important, historical and cultural facilities.
