Belarus president in favor of consolidating emerging changes in cooperation with EU

It is necessary to consolidate the changes in cooperation with European countries that have emerged in the last two years. Belarus President Alexander Lukashenko made the statement at the recent conference with heads of diplomatic missions and consular institutions of Belarus. Alexander Lukashenko stressed that relations with the European Union are important for Belarus primarily from the point of view of securing a balanced foreign policy. “Nowadays the European Union market is one of the most saturated markets with the competition level off the charts. And if we have managed to sell our products in Europe, there is no doubt that these products will sell in other regions of the world, too,” noted the President. Alexander Lukashenko pointed out that despite the presence of American sanctions against individual Belarusian enterprises, foreign trade parameters grow steadily. Thus, there are 382 enterprises in Belarus with a share of American capital, with 100 ones established in the last two years. “It is a good basis that we can build on,” believes the Belarusian leader.
