Poll: 85.5% of Belarusians plan to vote in presidential election

Results of a recent opinion poll suggest that 85.5% of Belarusians plan to take part in the presidential election, Head of the Department of Economic Sociology and Psychology of Entrepreneurship, Head of the Center for Social and Humanitarian Studies of Belarusian State Economic University Irina Lashuk told BelTA.

 
Respondents were asked: “Are you going to take part in the upcoming election?” Some 85.5% of the respondents answered in the positive, 4.8% answered in the negative and 9.7% were undecided.
 
“People are going to cast their ballot in the election and make their well-informed political, strategic choice. The research has shown the stability of the socio-political situation and the cohesion of society,” Irina Lashuk noted.
 
In December 2024, a cross-country opinion poll was conducted by Belarus and Serbia. In Serbia, the survey was done by the Institute of International Politics and Economics and the independent research center House off Win. In Belarus, the survey was carried out by the Center for Social and Humanitarian Studies of Belarusian State Economic University. The survey in Belarus was conducted by door-to-door interviews (1,500 respondents). The main goal was to build a better understanding of mutual perception of Belarusians and Serbs, to identify the most promising areas of cooperation and friendship. Taking into account that this survey coincided with the election campaign in Belarus, a separate block of questions in the Belarusian part of the study concerned the respondents' assessment of the socio-political situation and priority electoral attitudes.

21st June was fifth International Yoga Day observed across the world. The theme for Yoga Day 2019 was "Yoga for Climate Action”. On this day, which is dedicated to inner and outer well-being of human body, people across the world practice yoga in groups. The International Day of Yoga aims to raise awareness worldwide of the many benefits of practicing yoga, a physical, mental and spiritual practice.

Lieber Dietmar,
das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)

Хацелася б даведацца, цi плануе радыёстанцыя вяшчанне на FM у Мiнску, бо ў заходнiх рэгiёнах Беларусi радыёстанцыя на FM працуе. У шматнацыянальным Мiнску жыве шмат замежных грамадзян, таксама прыязджаюць турысты, якiя б маглi даведацца пра тое, што аббываецца ў краiне i за яе межамi праз радыё Беларусь.
