There are plans to make the Museums of Belarus national forum a biennial event, Culture Minister of Belarus Pavel Latushko said when opening the first event in Grodno.
Museology is extremely important for the development of national culture, the minister said. Museums contribute to the spiritual development of every citizen of the nation, teach people to be proud of their history and culture. The state always provides significant support to the museums. Many new museum facilities have recently opened in the country thanks to government subsidies. The government has invested significant resources in restoration of palaces and castles, renovation projects of national and regional museums.
According to the minister, the decision to hold the first national forum, the Museums of Belarus, in Grodno was not fortuitous. The city with an informal status of a city-museum takes pride in its old traditions of work with the historical heritage.
Pavel Latushko said that in the perspective the forum will be held in various towns of Belarus. The venue for the forum might be selected on an application basis in the future.

das ist wirklich ein Dudelsack :) In Belarus wird es aber Dudá genannt. Eigentlich ist Duda ein belarussisches traditionelles Musikinstrument. Übrigens gibt es viele Arten und Formen von Dudelsack in verschiedenen Kulturen und Ländern von Südamerica bis Indien.
PS: das Lied ist Каляда На Балоце von Тутэйшая Шляхта. ;)
