Belarus, Malta to advance cooperation in trade, digitization

Belarus and Malta are going to advance cooperation in trade and digitization, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Italy told reporters. A Belarusian delegation recently visited Malta. A presentation of Belarus’ economic and business potential was arranged. During the visit Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Italy Aleksandr Guryanov also presented a medal “100 years of diplomatic service of Belarus” to Johann Baldacchino Romano, who is Belarus’ honorary consul and a public representative of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) in Malta. The Belarusian delegation included Deputy Economy Minister Dmitry Yaroshevich, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Italy with concurrent accreditation to Malta Aleksandr Guryanov, representative of the Hi-Tech Park administration, the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Belarusian government agencies, and the private sector.

In order to establish contacts, share the best practices, and consider joint projects the Belarusian delegation met with Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade Promotion of Malta Fiona Formosa, Permanent Secretary on Strategy and Implementation of the Office of the Prime Minister of Malta Joyce Dimech, Executive Chairman of the Malta Information Technology Agency Tony Sultana, and a number of other officials ans businessmen.
