Belarus to invite international experts to discuss WTO matters at seminar

Belarus intends to arrange a seminar on matters relating to the World Trade Organization and intends to invite major international experts to participate in the event, reporters learned from Valery Voronetsky, Chairman of the International Affairs Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus.

According to the MP, Belarus is in negotiations with the WTO HQ in Geneva on inviting major international experts to participate in the seminar. “We intend to arrange a seminar to discuss WTO matters together with the government, the parliament, and all the interested parties,” Valery Voronetsky said.

The MP reminded that this year Minsk will host a conference of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly Silk Road Support Group. The conference has been rescheduled from early May to late April. The parliamentarian noted that representatives of 28 countries will take part in the forum. Belarus intends to present prospects of digital economy, expansion of investment projects, the presence of foreign capital in the country as well as its own transit and tourism potentials.
