Representatives of Belarus and Russia have signed a roadmap on how mutual restrictions on shipments of animal husbandry products in 2019 will be lifted. The document was signed in Moscow, reporters learned from the website of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor).

The document was signed as a result of negotiations between Belarusian Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister, Director of the Veterinary and Food Oversight Department Ivan Smilgin and Head of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance of Russia (Rosselkhoznadzor) Sergei Dankvert.

In line with the roadmap the temporary food trade restrictions will be lifted from products of several Belarusian companies as from 14 February. Those are the Volozhin branch of OAO Molodechno Dairy Plant (cheese and butter) and Inco-Food (ready meat products).

The sides also agreed it is necessary to come up with a clear and understandable mechanism to regulate the transit of agricultural products across the Eurasian Economic Union member states.
