The Brest Free Economic Zone (FEZ Brest) and the Danish-Belarusian Business Association (DBBA) have signed a cooperation agreement in Aarhus, Denmark, reporters learned from Aleksei Lachimov, the head of the external economic relations and economic development department at FEZ Brest.
DBBA unites businessmen who plan to work or already work with Belarus. The agreement signed in Aarhus aims to draw the attention of foreign businessmen to Belarus. The agreement is also designed to attract foreign investments and boost mutual trade. The document provides for exchange of business delegations and organization of joint events.
For instance, a delegation of Danish businessmen will visit Brest Oblast in 2017. “Foreign investments are important for us in terms of the import of modern technology. Denmark is a European leader in agriculture, food industry, and alternative energy. Cooperation will help expand the presence of our enterprises in the EU. As for Brest Oblast, it is attractive for those who want to enter the market of the Eurasian Economic Union,” Aleksei Lachimov said.
