Belarus invites Serbia to implement joint information projects


     Belarus has invited Serbia to implement joint projects in the field of information, the Belarusian Information Ministry reports.

      A Belarusian delegation led by Information Minister Lilia Ananich met with Serbian President Tomislav Nikolic on 25 October. During the meeting, Lilia Ananich noted that today information is frequently used for destructive purposes, so it is necessary to do everything possible to strengthen the bridge of information cooperation and good neighborliness between Belarus and Serbia.

“Lilia Ananich noted that it is time to launch a Belarusian-Serbian information project to boost cooperation in television, Internet, and in the promotion of international satellite TV channels of Belarus and Serbia,” the ministry said.

Belarus will celebrate the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book printing in 2017. In this context, Lilia Ananich and Tomislav Nikolic discussed the possibility of holding a joint Belarusian-Serbian scientific conference as part of the International Belgrade Book Fair.
