The Union State Parliamentary Assembly has prepared two special awards “For Loyalty to Moral Ideals in Film Art” for the 19th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad 2012.

      The Union State Parliamentary Assembly has prepared two special awards “For Loyalty to Moral Ideals in Film Art” for the 19th Minsk International Film Festival Listapad 2012. They will be awarded to representatives of Belarus and Russia at the closing ceremony of the cinema forum, the press service of the Union State PA reports.
     The PA awards for the Listapad festival were instituted by the PA Council in 2007. Since then the Union State MPs have been taking a regular part in the forum.
      “The Union State MPs pay close attention to the issues of culture and art. Apart from that the PA parliamentarians vigorously support various cultural events which help preserve traditions, develop intercultural relations, revive moral values,” the press service noted.
      According to the PA, for the time of its existence Listapad has become one of the most important and representative cinema forums in the post-Soviet space. The festival promotes development of the common cinematography space of Russia and Belarus, the CIS and Baltic states, non-CIS countries.
