Apakan: Situation in Ukraine’s Shirokino will be settled within days

        The situation in Ukraine’s Shirokino will be settled within days, Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Ertugrul Apakan said after a meeting of the working group on security of the contact group on Ukraine in Minsk, BelTA reports. “It was a very useful meeting. We have discussed a number of security issues, including the situation in Shirokino. The parties have expressed similar views upon many issues,” the coordinator of the working group on security said. Ertugrul Apakan believes that the situation in Shirokino will be solved in the near future. The Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine also noted that the next meeting of the working group on security will take place in the future. He did not specify the date but expressed hope it would be successful, too.
