Belarus introduced additional measures of support for families with children

       As of January 1, 2015 Belarus introduced additional measures of support for families with children. They are aimed at stimulating the birth of second and subsequent children.
The main innovations are the family capital and a new type of child allowance.
      Family capital is a non-cash fund equivalent to $10 thousand, which are provided to families for use in Belarus in full or in part on a cashless basis. This money can be used in several ways, which include improvement of living conditions; education; social services, health care; or for parent’s cumulative pension.
