Belarus urges German small business to make most of Customs Union opportunities

Belarus encourages the German small business to make the most of opportunities offered by the Customs Union. At the German Economy Days in Belarus Dmitry Klevzhits, Director of the National Agency of Investment and Privatization, underlined that one of the advantages of doing business in Belarus are highly qualified workers. He expressed confidence that German entrepreneurs will want to operate in the Chinese-Belarusian Industrial Park. The agency is now searching for investors to promote information technologies, biotechnologies, alternative energy, food production, chemical industry and production of car parts.
Belarus seeks to raise foreign direct investments into these industries, set up companies with high value added that will make products for export. These are traditional industries with great prospects that become even more appreciable taking into consideration the opportunities of the Customs Union, Dmitry Klevzhits said.
He invited German businessmen to take part in the Belarus Investment Forum that will be held in Minsk in November. The forum will demonstrate investment opportunities of Belarus and give participants a chance to put forward their proposals.
