Existential drama "The Fog" by Sergei Loznitsa based on the novel by Vasil Bykov, will open the XIX Minsk International Film Festival "Listapad."

         For the first time in history, "Listapad"’s opening movie will be shown simultaneously in two movie theaters –  in Minsk-based cinema "October" and in the small hall of the Palace of the Republic.
Sergei Loznitsa is largely known to the local movie buffs thanks to his film "My Joy," which won the Grand Prix of "Listapad 2010." The world premiere of his new film "The Fog" was held this spring at the Cannes Film Festival. The film was included in its official competition program and was awarded the prestigious prize of the jury of the International Federation of Cinema Press FIPRESCI.
