The Brest Office of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BelCCI) is organizing training courses under the International Financial Reporting Standards program in Warsaw and Madrid, BelTA learned from the BelCCI department of foreign economic cooperation. 

Active work is underway in Belarus to ensure a gradual transition to international financial reporting standards (IFRS). The Council of Ministers and the National Bank issued a joint resolution on this matter on 30 December 2016. The national regulatory framework in accounting has been significantly refreshed this year as new technical normative legal acts have been enforced. 

“The BelCCI Brest Office has been organizing training courses in international accounting and financial reporting in Warsaw with the support of the Polish-Belarusian Chamber of Commerce since August 2017. All in all, approximately 80 specialists from a variety of industries such as food processing, furniture, construction, transport and logistics, audit and others have completed the courses,” head of the department Yelena Pivnik said.
