Belarus and the European Union will be able to settle all the issues on the mutual agenda

Belarus and the European Union will be able to settle all the issues on the mutual agenda, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei told the media.

According to Vladimir Makei, over the past two or three years Belarus and the European Union have made great progress in mutual relations which are important to both sides:
“Significant results have been achieved over the last few years. In general, trade and economic cooperation with the EU has improved. Last year mutual trade increased by 20% both in imports and exports. Cooperation with the financial institutions of the European Union has significantly expanded, primarily with the EBRD and the European Investment Bank. The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development has increased financing for Belarus. Since 1992 the bank has provided more than $2 billion to Belarus. Among successful examples of mutually beneficial cooperation are projects related to road construction, house insulation, and building of water treatment facilities. We should not stop at what has been already achieved.”
