Belarus and Kazakhstan signed a package of new cooperation agreements. The documents were signed at the conclusion of the talks between the Prime Ministers of the two countries in Astana.
The Industry Ministry of Belarus and the Ministry of Industry and New Technology of Kazakhstan singed a memorandum to set up a joint Belarusian-Kazakhstan industrial and technological park for agricultural machinery and utilities vehicles. Protocol was signed to introduce amendments to the intergovernmental Belarusian-Kazakh agreement on cooperation and mutual assistance in tax matters as of 22 May 2000. The cooperation agreement was signed between the Forestry Ministries of Belarus and Kazakhstan, and a memorandum on the partnership was sealed between Kazakhtelecom and Gersis Software. During the talks, the parties agreed on the new joint projects in chemistry, engineering, agriculture, said Prime Minister Mikhail Myasnikovich. “These will be real projects that will be implemented in the next one to two years,” he said. "We are developing a kind of roadmap and agreed on system-based communication,” added Mikhail Myasnikovich.
