Lukashenko affirms Belarus’ commitment to joint projects, trade growth with Egypt

Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko has extended greetings to President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt as the country celebrates Revolution Day, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian leader.
 
“This landmark date marked the beginning of an era of national sovereignty, social and political transformation, and the strengthening of your country’s role as one of the leaders of the Arab world,” the message of greetings reads.
 
The head of state emphasized that the alignment of positions between Minsk and Cairo on key issues on the international and regional agendas serves as a solid foundation for bilateral cooperation.
 
“In the trade and economic sector, we are ready to increase trade, implement projects to organize the assembly of Belarusian machinery in Egypt, including agricultural equipment, and create modern grain and feed storage facilities. There is also potential for developing partnerships in healthcare, science and technology, and education,” said Aleksandr Lukashenko.
 
“I would be glad to welcome you to Minsk at any convenient time for a personal discussion of concrete measures to further expand Belarusian-Egyptian cooperation,” he added.
 
The president of Belarus wished the president of Egypt good health and continued success for the benefit of the country and its citizens.
