Belarus’ FM meets with Kyrgyzstan’s president

On the second day of his official visit to Kyrgyzstan, Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Maxim Ryzhenkov met with Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties held an open exchange of views on the state and key directions of developing the dialogue between Minsk and Bishkek, as well as on the most pressing issues of the international agenda. The parties outlined a set of steps to further deepen relations: from strengthening cooperation between governments and sectoral ministries to closer coordination on the international stage. This course is consistently based on the genuinely brotherly ties that unite the peoples of Belarus and Kyrgyzstan,” the ministry said.

Maxim Ryzhenkov also conveyed warm greetings and best wishes from Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko to the president of Kyrgyzstan. In response, Sadyr Japarov sent his warmest and most sincere wishes to the Belarusian leader.

The parties discussed promising areas of bilateral cooperation, which received a special boost from the agreements reached during the recent official visit to Kyrgyzstan by Belarus’ Prime Minister Aleksandr Turchin.

The minister extended sincere congratulations on Kyrgyzstan’s election as a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council, emphasizing that this achievement confirms Bishkek’s high authority on the global stage.
