Seven memorandums planned for signing at Belarus-Oman Business Forum

We are set to sign seven memorandums at the Belarus-Oman Business Forum, Director of Belarus’ National Export Promotion Center Nikolai Borisovich told the media ahead of the business forum in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

Nikolai Borisovich noted that today’s event is a continuation of the discussions held in Muscat. “I must say that companies on both sides have shown a great interest in the forum in Oman and the forum in Minsk. Following the forum today, we plan to sign seven memorandums, which we hope will soon translate into real contracts,” the director said.

The areas of cooperation are quite diverse, he emphasized. “These include mechanical engineering, agriculture, food products, and the IT sector. We are talking not only about direct sales but also about cooperation, interaction both on the territory of Belarus and on the territory of Oman, and the organization of joint production facilities. We are looking at this process objectively and see that there are prospects. Naturally, much depends on the efforts that our companies must exert to achieve results. In turn, the National Export Promotion Center will provide all necessary assistance to ensure that the planned initiatives are implemented and that real contracts are secured,” Nikolai Borisovich concluded.

The delegation will include senior officials and representatives from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion of Oman, the Oman Investment Authority and more than 20 companies.

The forum is a great opportunity for participants to discuss promising areas of cooperation with potential partners during direct B2B negotiations. The language of the forum is English. Participation is free.

The forum’s co-organizer is the center's partner - the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI).
