MFA: Belarus is open to human rights cooperation based on equal footing

Belarus is ready to cooperate with anyone on human rights issues on equal terms, Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich said at a session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva, BelTA has learned.

“International cooperation on human rights is intended to serve as a respectful complement to national efforts to ensure that they are nourished by best practices and to help improve legislation and practices at the request of interested governments. Belarus is ready for such cooperation on an equal and mutually respectful basis with any member of the international community,” the diplomat said.
