Belarus ambassador presents credentials to Israeli president

Belarusian Ambassador to Israel Jaŭhien Varabjoŭ has presented credentials to Israelian President Reuven Rivlin, reporters learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The official ceremony was followed by a meaningful discussion of the matters of mutual interest. “The parties believe that the contemporary history of Belarusian and Jewish people and its commemoration are a solid foundation for constructive cooperation between Belarus and Israel today. It was also mentioned that natives of Belarus made a contribution to the establishment and rise of the State of Israel,” the embassy noted.
