Belarús y el Vaticano lograron construir la cooperación exitosa en varias áreas, pero aún queda mucho por hacer. Lo cita el comunicado del ministro de Asuntos Exteriores de Belarús, Serguéi Aléinik, con motivo de la presentación de la primera traducción del latín al belaruso del Código de Derecho Canónico. El texto del comunicado fue leído en una ceremonia solemne en la Biblioteca Nacional por el vicecanciller, Yuri Ambrazévich, anuncia BelTA.
El titular de la Cancillería señaló la importancia de la presentación del código este año y en este lugar. Ya que en 2022 se celebra el 30º aniversario del establecimiento de relaciones diplomáticas entre Belarús y la Santa Sede, el 100º aniversario de la fundación de la Biblioteca Nacional de Belarús, el 500º aniversario de la publicación del primer libro de oraciones impreso para los laicos en belaruso – “La pequeña guía de viaje” de Francisco Skorina y el 1030º aniversario de la primera eparquía cristiana en la tierra belarusa. Además, hace 500 años Nikolái Gusovski de Belarús escribió el poema “Canción sobre el bisonte” para el Papa León X precisamente en latín. “Hoy participamos en la presentación de la traducción del latín al belaruso del libro del Código de Derecho Canónico. Quiero enfatizar que es un importante evento tanto para las relaciones belaruso-vaticanas como para la Iglesia Católica Romana en Belarús y nuestro país en general”, cita el mensaje del ministro.
“Las relaciones entre Minsk y el Vaticano se basan en fuertes tradiciones, respeto, confianza, comprensión y apertura. Logramos construir la cooperación exitosa en varias áreas. En primer lugar, se trata de los esfuerzos por fortalecer la confianza y las medidas de seguridad en la región y el mundo. Nuestras autoridades expresaron varias veces las posiciones similares respecto a este tema. Minsk y el Vaticano ya hicieron mucho en esta dirección. Lamentablemente, como muestra nuestra realidad, todavía queda mucho trabajo por hacer para lograr el resultado tan necesario para todos nosotros”.
Entre las tradicionales iniciativas conjuntas el Ministerio de Asuntos Exteriores mencionó la lucha contra la trata de personas, la lucha contra la violencia contra los niños, la protección de la familia natural y los valores familiares tradicionales, así como la cooperación en el ámbito humanitario. “Nuestra actividad conjunta a largo plazo en todas estas áreas trajo resultados positivos tangibles. Nuestras posiciones también coinciden en la necesidad de brindar amplias oportunidades para la educación, incluso en la esfera espiritual”, dijo Serguéi Aléinik.
En la cooperación con la Santa Sede y la Iglesia Católica Romana Belarús da mucha importancia al diálogo interreligioso y está dispuesta a desarrollar esta fructífera cooperación en un espíritu de respeto y comprensión mutua.
