Вопросы сотрудничества в области охраны окружающей среды обсудили в Минприроды с ООН и ПРООН, сообщили в пресс-службе ведомства.
Министр природных ресурсов и охраны окружающей среды Андрей Худык встретился с постоянным координатором ООН в Беларуси Иоанной Казана-Вишневецкий и постоянным представителем ПРООН в Беларуси Александрой Соловьевой. В ходе переговоров были обсуждены вопросы сотрудничества Минприроды с ООН и ПРООН в области охраны окружающей среды, смягчения последствий изменения климата, а также реализации совместно с ПРООН проектов международной технической помощи, направленных на выполнение природоохранных задач.
Как отметили в пресс-службе, Андрей Худык обратил внимание участников встречи на то, что введенные в нарушение Устава ООН односторонние санкции ряда государств против Беларуси препятствуют решению экологических задач. По его словам, это может повлиять на состояние экосистем всего европейского региона. В качестве примера министр привел ситуацию с непредоставлением метеорологических данных со стороны ряда европейских и международных организаций. Данная информация используется для прогнозирования опасных явлений, обеспечения безопасности воздушных полетов гражданской авиации и повышения точности прогнозов. Участники переговоров обсудили реализацию проектов международной технической помощи, направленных на сохранение биологического и ландшафтного разнообразия, экологически безопасное уничтожение опасных отходов, развитие экотуризма, а также экологическое просвещение.
"Министр обозначил проблемные вопросы, вызванные сложностями с получением финансирования природоохранных проектов в рамках закончившегося седьмого операционного цикла Глобального экологического фонда и предложил проработать возможность выделения грантовых средств на реализацию новых экологических проектов. Также в ходе состоявшейся встречи особое внимание было уделено негативным последствиям возведения заградительного сооружения на территории объекта Всемирного наследия ЮНЕСКО "Беловежская пуща". Андрей Худык подчеркнул, что в настоящий момент мы являемся свидетелями нанесения глобального непоправимого ущерба международной экосистеме. В связи с этим он акцентировал внимание на необходимости незамедлительной оценки международным сообществом ситуации в Беловежской пуще", - рассказали в Минприроды.
Участники переговоров договорились создать объединенную экспертную группу для продвижения данного вопроса на международных площадках.

I recently learned my surname is not Polish, but Belarusian. I heard you on shortwave in the past and am so happy to listen online in English.
